| The appellant’s mother owns a property around 16 cents by the side of Jose Chirammal Road, Kanimangalam under Electrical Section, Koorkkencherry. An electric post bearing No. KKY/VST-9/10L with a stay wire was erected on the side of the road and four service connections were issued from it. According to the appellant, the electric post was installed in his mother’s property without obtaining consent. The appellant approached the concerned officials requesting to shift the electric post and stay wire to the opposite side of the road. Seeing no action on the part of the respondent, the appellant filed a petition before the CGRF. After conducting three hearings in the matter and examining the issue in detail, the Forum held that the action of the respondent in erecting the pole and stay wire was totally in tune with the spirit of the Electricity Act. Also held that the pole and stay wire might be shifted from the complainant’s property on deposit work basis. Aggrieved against the said order, this appeal petition was filed. The appellant remitted the estimated amount under deposit work basis and the respondent shifted the post and stay wire. The appeal petition is disposed of as settled. |
